Iridescent Shields, More Gold Accents, Kiosk Painting Begins at Magic Kingdom Parking Plaza

It’s a sunny day here in Central Florida, so we decided to drop by the Magic Kingdom parking plaza to see how the new paint job was coming along. As you’ll see in the photos below, crews are applying what appear to be some of the details on the left few lanes before moving onto other sections of the parking plaza.

Crews have recently applied an iridescent-type color to the lettering shields, a color choice that should make it’s way onto some of the 50th anniversary merchandise next year. A light blue gradient has also been applied to the largely royal blue color scheme, and the scenic painters have also begun to repaint the kiosks. Finally, the flags on top of the structure have received a similar iridescent paint as the lettering shields. Here’s a look at the ongoing project from minutes ago!
