Hundreds of Employees Walk Out of Disney Headquarters in Protest of Company Apathy Over “Don’t Say Gay” Bill

    Published:

CNBC has video of what they are reporting is “hundreds” of Disney employees walking out of Disney HQ in Burbank, CA. The walkout is the culmination of a week’s worth of smaller “virtual walkouts” ahead of today’s full walkout. The walkout is in protest over what employees are calling an apathetic initial approach to Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek was in hot water after sending a company-wide email that BlogMickey.com published that said that the company would not be denouncing the controversial bill. Since then, Chapek has walked back his comments and even offered an apology while vowing to do more for the LGBTQIA+ community.
