Earlier this month, we noticed that work was underway on the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. This construction was taking place near the main pool, although the pool has remained open throughout the work. Note that the work documented in this article is different from the work taking place to bring a Disney Vacation Club tower to the former Spirit of Aloha dinner show area. In the photo below, the Disney Vacation Club work is taking place at the red circle and the beach construction that we’ll take a look at below is taking place at the blue circle.
Here’s a look at what’s left of the construction site, with the beach and walkway being rebuilt and the remaining construction zone shrinking, but still impacting the walkway.

Guest views are not impacted as the work has only taken place in front of the main pool so far.
