Crews are wasting no time in shaping the future Disney Vacation Club tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. This afternoon, we took a lap on the monorail system and a quick walk around the resort to check in on the latest progress. Just a few days ago, we saw the first wall of concrete erected on the former Spirit of Aloha site, and now crews are forming what appears to be an elevator shaft for the new tower.

First, here’s a look at the work from the monorail as we glide by the site.

And here’s a look at the site from the nearby guest buildings.

The Disney Vacation Club tower is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. Here’s a look at concept art for the addition.
