Luau Cove Continues to be Removed From Polynesian Village Resort Signage Ahead of DVC Tower Construction

Following our report in mid-August that Disney started to remove some of the signage directing guests to a now-demolished Luau Cove, Disney has removed more signage at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Here’s a look at some of the updates with before/after images where possible.

We’ll start with the lobby map, which appears to have been painted over.

Here’s a wider look at the area that will become a DVC tower. We hope to hear more about this project at the upcoming D23 Expo.

Elsewhere, signage has been removed or modified to remove references to Luau Cove.

Here’s a look at the demolished area for Luau Cove and the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. The area has largely remained unchanged as crews expand the construction zone towards Floridian Way.

Here’s previously released concept art for the Disney Vacation Club tower that will be constructed in this area.
