Tropical Americas Construction Relocates Donald Duck & Goofy Meet and Greets at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

|

Newly installed construction walls have forced two character meet and greet experiences to change at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. With the new construction walls blocking Donald Duck’s standard meet and greet, he has moved to a location near Restaurantosaurus. Donald actually took over Goofy’s former meet and greet location, relegating Goofy to an area near the Wildlife Express station in Africa. Here’s a look at the changes!

Donald Duck Takes Over Restaurantosaurus Meet and Greet

Guests can find Donald Duck under a hangar-style overhang, just outside of Restaurantosaurus. Signage in the area should direct you to the general area. Here’s a look!

Donald was happy to show off his “Donald’s Dino-Bash” button. As you may remember, Donald’s Dino-Bash debuted in 2018 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It was an effort by Disney to breathe life into DinoLand. Before it debuted, Disney said that the Dino-Bash additions would be permanent. True to their word, it looks like the Dino-Bash additions will make it to the extinction of DinoLand USA in February 2026.

Goofy Meet and Greet Moves to Wildlife Express Station in Africa

To find Goofy, head to the Harambe Train Station, where you’ll find the Wildlife Express. The train station is effectively between the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction and the Harambe Market area. While there isn’t signage for Goofy, there is signage for the train station and “Rafiki’s Planet Watch”.

We’ll find Goofy in the departures terminal, with all of his bird-watching gear packed up and ready for adventure!

The existing DinoLand USA meet and greets will be relocated in February 2026 when the entire DinoLand USA land closes for a reimagining into a Tropical Americas-themed land.
