A new update for the Disneyland app seems to suggest an expansion of the virtual queue system to the Disneyland Resort.
In the expanded menu, a new “Virtual Queues” section has been added.
When clicking in, you are faced with a “My Queues” list.
Further clicking in to the “Join Boarding Group” button shows that Rise of the Resistance is the only option.
This is more “friction” than there has been in the past, but seems to set up perfectly for more attractions to join the virtual queue list. Also, if we really want to read into it, just the plural nature of the “My Queues” verbiage would suggest more attractions would join the list. Of course, this is all really just speculation unless and until Disney confirms what this new section of the app would be utilized for.
With Avengers Campus opening slated for July 18th, it seems like Disney might want to gravitate to the virtual queue system for high demand attractions.
