Disney World Begins Repainting Entrance Archways Blue for 50th Anniversary

While entering Walt Disney World property today we noticed that Disney has begun repainting one of their entrance archways as part of a reimagining of the archways for the 50th Anniversary in 2021. First, here’s a look at the concept art, followed by the current look for most of the archways.

Now, here’s a look at the Western Way entrance to Walt Disney World – the first of the archways to get work done. As you can see in the photos below, a new coat of blue paint has been added since we last checked in on the project, and it looks like Disney has filled in some cracks on the columns.

Here’s a look at the back of the archway.

Finally, here’s a closer look at the cloud castle and “Where Dreams Come True Slogan” that was part of a 2006 global marketing campaign.
