Friend of the site Bioreconstruct has taken to the skies over Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a look at the DinoLand USA demolition that we’ve been tracking from the ground over the past few weeks. The aerial photos show not only the demolition, but the recent land clearing that we saw on a recent visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Let’s take a look!
Aerial Photos of DinoLand USA Demolition
Before we jump into the recent aerial photos, here’s a look at the Dino-Rama section from an aerial flight that I went on with Bioreconstruct back in October. In this photo, you can see the circular TriceraTop Spin attraction, smaller buildings part of the Fossil Fun Games, and the iconic Cementosaurus dinosaur.
Ok, this first photo shows an angle that would be representative of the angle that we’d see from within the park. In fact, you can see the guest-accessible walkway where I often take photos showing the progress of the site.
Here’s an example of a photo that I have taken from the walkway, which can be seen at the extreme bottom of the aerial photo above.
Switching up the angle a bit, we can see the pit where the former TriceraTop Spin attraction used to sit. You can see some rubble next to the pit, likely left over from the demolition of the attraction.
Another photo shows the rubble of the recently demolished Cementosaurus. In the photo below, you can see the four foundation slabs where the dino sat, along with the rubble of the Cementosaurus.
Zooming out a bit, we can see that there is land clearing taking place at the back of the site. The Encanto-themed attraction will essentially take up the entire construction site seen below. We can expect Casita to sit somewhere in the middle or middle-right of the Dino-Rama demolition site below, with the massive show building stretching into the backstage areas currently being cleared of trees.
Finally, here’s another look at the demolition site and land clearing area.
