Next week, Cast Members will be part of a special after-hours filming event to archive MuppetVision 3D. The event, titled Archiving Muppet Vision 3D, will take place on May 14th from 3am to 7:30am, according to Cast Member posts on social media.
MuppetVision 3D Archive Filming
MuppetVision 3D will close permanently on June 8th, with the final day to experience the attraction scheduled for June 7th. Following the announcement that MuppetVision 3D would be closed permanently and replaced by a Monsters Inc.-themed land, Walt Disney World announced that they would “explore ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future”.
Speculation arose that Disney may be trying to relocate the experience, or simply throw it up on Disney+ and call it a day. With the recent announcement that there will be a filming event to archive the attraction, it certainly seems like Disney will professionally film the attraction experience and upload it to their streaming service. Walt Disney World did not return a request for comment.

Why don’t they move the whole show- lock, stock and Stadler & Waldorf- to the Magic Eye theater next to the Imagination Pavilion in Epcot? It’s already set up for 3D movies and it would have to be better attended than the Pixar Shorts that are there now.
