Reservations Open for ‘The Beak and Barrel’ Pirates of the Caribbean Bar at Magic Kingdom

After a false start last week, when technical issues prevented Walt Disney World from opening reservations for The Beak and Barrel, reservations are now available. The Beak and Barrel is a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern, welcoming guests of all ages into a highly themed space celebrating piracy and its many rewards. The Beak and Barrel holds a unique place in Magic Kingdom history as the first-ever public bar in the theme park. Here’s the latest.

Reservations Open for The Beak and Barrel

Reservations are now available to book online. In order to manage demand, we saw Walt Disney World take a few unique precautions. First, reservations cannot currently be made through the My Disney Experience app. We flagged this change in procedure earlier today, and the change is for good reason. The second procedure change that Walt Disney World has implemented is a virtual waiting room. If you’re reading this when it was posted, it’s likely that visiting the following link will put you in a virtual waiting room.

The Beak and Barrel will open in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom on August 29, 2025, bringing a brand-new pirate-themed lounge to Walt Disney World. Located near Pirates of the Caribbean, this new offering will be the first full-service lounge in Magic Kingdom history, adding another option for guests looking to enjoy a bite to eat or a specialty beverage in the park.

The lounge is themed as a pirate tavern owned by Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn and her trusty parrot, Rummy. Inside, guests will find nautical decor, nods to Caribbean voyages, and an atmosphere that blends the adventurous spirit of Adventureland with the storytelling Disney is known for.

Food offerings will consist of small plates inspired by flavors from around the world, with a focus on shareable items. The Beak and Barrel will also serve a variety of beverages, including specialty cocktails, non-alcoholic creations, and drinks available in souvenir mugs.

Beyond food and drink, The Beak and Barrel is meant to be an experience. Story elements tied to Captain Merry Goldwyn, Rummy, and pirates will be woven throughout, giving the space a narrative that ties directly to its Adventureland location.

Reservations for The Beak and Barrel are now open via the Walt Disney World website. A valid Magic Kingdom admission is required, and depending on your ticket type, you may also need a park reservation. Disney has stated that parties will be limited to a 45-minute stay, and alcoholic beverages will be capped at two per guest.

The opening of The Beak and Barrel marks a notable shift for Magic Kingdom, which did not serve alcohol at all until 2012. Given its location and immersive theming, The Beak and Barrel is likely to become a popular stop for guests looking for a more relaxed experience between attractions.
