We had the opportunity to visit the Give Kids the World speaker series last night and the guest was Disney Legend Ron Logan. Logan has a long list of Disney Parks entertainment credits to his name, but the topic of the evening was Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
As part of his presentation and discussion, we were lucky enough to see a video of Illuminations that not many people have seen. The video was an internal production of the show and the highlight of the video was a “flattened” view of the globe. This flattened view made it much easier to see the scenes depicted on the globe than trying to view it in the middle of World Showcase Lagoon. Logan offered a few thoughts throughout the video as well.

There will never be another show as stylistically and emotionally beautiful. Despite its age, it still stands as my favorite show at Disney.
It will be sorely missed.
