Well, if you thought Disney thought of it all with the booze-filled beignets that they debuted last July, think again. We made it out to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort today to find that there is an all-new option on the secret menu – almost everything!
“Make Your Own” Booze-Filled Beignets – $8.00
After talking with the servers at Scat Cat’s Club, they let us know that we’re not necessarily limited to the three pre-selected booze pipettes on the official menu. Turns out that you can “make your own” booze-filled beignet! Of course, this all falls under “within reason”. You’re not going to get a pour of the Disney Select Barrel Knob Creek, but we found the servers to be very knowledgeable and helpful when selecting our three half-ounce pours.
For our visit today, we choose a Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, an Amaretto, and a Jack Daniels, because why not?! Normally, a review would weigh heavily on my own tastes vs what you might consider delicious. In this case, it really doesn’t matter! While we found the cream-style liqueurs to be a much better match for the flaky, sugary beignets, it really is up to you and the bartender working that evening. Of course, this is subject to change if Disney decides that they’re “losing” too much money on certain liqueurs, but get them while they’re hot (and available)!
