Appleseed Orchard Review – 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

Making its return this year is the Appleseed Orchard Global Marketplace in the Canada Far & Wide attraction. Here’s our Appleseed Orchard review from the 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.

    Apple Crumble Tart – $4.75

    Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

The only food offering at Appleseed Orchard is, fittingly enough, an Apple Crumble Tart. The wonderful tart is probably not enough on its own to get you to visit Appleseed Orchard, but it’s worth getting while you’re enjoying a few minutes in the air conditioning. We actually would like to see Disney expand the food offerings here, but using an attraction as a Festival “booth” likely limits your options when it comes to food preparation.

Either way, the tart is wonderful. A nice bake throughout is enhanced by the crumble and cinnamon flavors. The apples themselves were cooked well and the tart was structured while remaining slightly flakey. Again, we’d love to see some more options here in terms of food, but this isn’t a bad spot to stop, enjoy some air conditioning, and have a tart with some drinks. We typically don’t review drinks, but we got a few while we stopped in to Appleseed Orchard.

Bold Rock Imperial Apple Hard Cider (NEW 2022) – $5/9 (6/12oz)

    Rating: 5 out of 5.

After even an hour of walking around World Showcase in the heat, this really hit the spot. A light, crisp beer that hits all the notes that you’d expect from a cider. Since our first trip to Appleseed Orchard, we have gone back for this beer again.

Playalinda Brewing Caramel Apple Pie Ale (NEW 2022) – $5/9 (6/12oz)

    Rating: 4 out of 5.

A solid choice, the Playalinda Brewing Caramel Apple Pie Ale is essentially Fall in a cup. Expect less on the apple pie side of things and think more pine tree/earthy ale.

Both of the new beers come in respective flights. Here’s a look at the beer flight from a return trip to Appleseed Orchard.

The recurring theme of Appleseed Orchard is that they do what they do well, but they don’t really go above and beyond. That said, they really don’t need to. They have the most scarce resource of all during a summer Festival at EPCOT – air conditioning. It’s worth a stop in here to enjoy the vibe and grab a tart and a beer flight before heading back out into the elements.
