New Disneyland Paris Coronavirus Changes: Removed Face Character Meets, No Recycled A/C, No Single Rider, and More

Following up on the news that a Disneyland Paris maintenance Cast Member tested positive for COVID-19 Coronavirus, Disneyland Paris has implemented new measures.

According to Le Parisien, Disneyland Paris is using disposable cutlery at restaurants in the parks and hotels, cleaning stroller handles and wheelchairs by hand with disinfectant wipes, ending Single Rider lines, and eliminating recycled air for the air conditioning systems, using fresh air instead.

Additionally, @DLPReport on Twitter noted that The Princess Pavilion is now closed until further notice as part of precautionary measures to move “face characters” further away from guests. As a result of the closure of the Princess Pavilion, a new cavalcade called “Princess Promenade” has debuted today.

Here’s an official statement from Disneyland Paris:

Join Disney Princesses for an enchanting promenade as they make their way on a beautiful float to Sleeping Beauty Castle for a Royal Magical Moment.

As part of our commitment to the health and well-being of our cast, guests and the larger community, we continue to implement appropriate preventive measures in line with the recommendations from health agencies and the input of our medical teams. With that in mind, we have temporarily modified our Disney Princess interactions to continue to provide the best possible Guest experience.

Disneyland Paris remains open to guests.
