The Liberty Square Riverboat is scheduled to have a brief refurbishment from August 19 to August 23, 2019.
The Disney website doesn’t show any times past August 10th, but it’s not uncommon for schedules to be incomplete or incorrect on Disney’s website. While the website doesn’t show the refurbishment, it is listed on the My Disney Experience app. We’ll keep an eye on the website and update this article when Disney corrects the error.
More information about the nature of the refurbishment isn’t immediately available, but the entire Rivers of America area underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2018. Starting in early 2018, the refurbishment of the Liberty Belle took 11 months and it didn’t return to service until late-December. During that time, we saw a portion of the Rivers of America completely drained and refurbished.
