According to Disney, all four Walt Disney World theme parks are at their modified capacity limits for all ticket types today, December 5th.
As you can see in the calendar screenshot above, at least one ore more theme parks remain open for the remainder of December for Resort Guests, and the next couple of weekends are already full for Annual Passholders.
Disney recently raised their attendance caps by 40% for what they believe will be a busy holiday season. Of course, there are still limitations as to how many guests are allowed in a theme park at one time. Guests who wish to visit the Walt Disney World theme parks now through early 2022 must have a valid ticket AND a Disney Park Pass reservation.

Daily records being set nationwide for new infections, new hospitalizations and deaths. Hospitals at or beyond capacity. Caregivers strained to or beyond the breaking point. And the full effect of the Thansgiving spike is yet to be felt. By all means, let’s “exercise our freedoms” and “make our own decisions” and pack the theme parks to whatever their current capacity is.
We were at the Magic Kingdom today. It was so much less crowded than it was a year ago this same weekend. We walked onto the Haunted Mansion. Less than 30-minute wait for Peter Pan in the middle of the afternoon. No long lines for food — evennDole Whips. We were honestly shocked to hear they reached capacity, since the sidewalks felt so uncrowded. Plus, we made our reservation just yesterday (passholders here).
