Monorail Red Begins Second Wave of Refurbishment at Disney World

Monorail Red is now backstage for a second wave of refurbishment following an initial refurbishment back in January 2018. Earlier this month, Monorail Green returned from its second wave of refurbishment with new deltas and a slightly updated paint job.

As we reported back in October 2022, the Walt Disney World monorail system was set to embark on a second round of refurbishments just a few months after the first round of refurbishment was completed. We’re told this was because the first round of refurbishment took so long that Disney actually changed what it was that they wanted to fix or upgrade midway through the refurbishment process. That meant that some of the monorails early in the first round of refurbishment would need to go back to the barn for a second wave of refurbishment.
