Disney World Bans Face Masks With Valves

One of the things that we recently praised Disney for was their ability and willingness to update their face mask policy to reflect the safe operations of their theme parks. Just a couple of days ago we suggested that it was time for Disney to ban face masks with exhalation valves. Today, Disney has done just that. Here is the updated wording of Disney’s face mask policy (via Scott Gustin):

At this time, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings.

Face coverings are intended to reduce the transfer of respiratory droplets, and exhalation valves and materials with holes do not adequately filter air that is exhaled.

As noted by Forbes, “the non-compliant masks have a one-way valve that allows your exhaled air to pass through a small round or square filter disk attached to the front of the mask”. A growing number of cities and states are banning the masks, according to the report, including much of California.

    1. I have anxiety with panic attack I can understand you Banning the ones with the valves on the face mask that do not have filters but the ones with the filters you should allow with people who have anxiety because if they get too hot then they having an anxiety and panic attack and no way of stopping it this way if you have one with a filter on it it would be better then one that does not have a filter and that would be for help concerns for people like me who does have anxiety Panic with PTSD if you get too hot you run the risk of having an anxiety panic attack which will just feel your first-aid rooms where people can try to calm down getting cool and let the inside and panic attack pass which sometimes they do not even with medications
