Disneyland Cancels Reservations Through November 7

Disneyland has begun sending out emails to guests with reservations booked through November 7th, asking them to cancel or modify their reservation.

The cancellations come at a time where Disneyland and the State of California are at odds over recently released guidelines that some health officials think could mean a summer 2021 reopening date. As of publish time, Disneyland has not announced a reopening date, and the structure of the state guidelines make it impossible for them to know when they will reopen.

Disneyland was preparing for a late-September reopening before the governor announced the Blueprint for a Safer Economy color-coded system, which threw the plans into disarray and prompted strong public statements condemning Governor Newsom for an approach to reopening that Disney says is not based on science or data.
