Demolition Continues for Polynesian Village Arrival Experience Refresh, Work Begins on Monorail Station

Aloha! Good afternoon from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and an updated look at the work taking place to revitalize the arrival experience.

Here’s a look at the concept art before jumping into the demolition photos.

Here’s a look at the latest demolition, which includes the removal of trees and bushes from in front of the resort.

The porte cochere has also been demolished.

Work has also begun on the monorail station with the removal of some of the existing theming.

Here’s a look at the crossbeam installation from the pool and dock area.

  1. I like the concept artwork of the new design, it does echo design elements elsewhere in the resort. I just hope they bring back the tropical landscaping and water features around the entrance. those were truly magical.
