Zootopia Hot Pursuit Attraction Reopens After Child Hit by Ride Vehicle, Shanghai Disney Reminds Guests to Follow Rules

Shanghai Disney has reopened the Zootopia Hot Pursuit attraction a day after a child jumped from the ride and was reportedly hit and dragged by the ride vehicle. Shanghai Disney released the following statement, reminding guests to follow the rules while at the park:

“Zootopia: Hot Pursuit” will resume operations this morning. All guests are required to comply with the resort’s operational guidelines as they experience the attraction.

Zootopia Hot Pursuit is a trackless ride similar to Rise of the Resistance, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, among other rides worldwide that use the ride system technology. Similar to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Zootopia Hot Pursuit uses a communal lap bar with up to five guests per row. Similarly, there is no height or age requirement for the ride.
