Disney Park Pass theme park reservations are still, somehow, a thing in 2025, and they’re completely sold out for the next two days for Annual Passholders. According to the Walt Disney World Park Pass calendar there are no available Park Pass reservations for today, January 3rd, and tomorrow, January 4th.
Park Pass Reservations Sold Out as Annual Passholders Return Following Holidays
The lack of availability for Disney Park Pass reservations comes as lower-tier Annual Passholders start to return to the Walt Disney World theme parks following their blockout period during the holiday season.
Sorcerer-level Passholders can return to the parks starting today, January 3rd, and Pirate-level Passholders can return to the parks starting tomorrow. The lowest tier, Pixie Dust, can return starting January 6th.
Park Pass reservations are still available for non-Passholder, non-date-based tickets, and tickets are still being sold for most of the Walt Disney World theme parks.
In short, there isn’t a capacity concern for the theme parks, just a desire to throttle the number of Annual Passholders who can visit the Walt Disney World theme parks today.
If you’re an Annual Passholder looking to visit today or tomorrow, and can’t find a theme park reservation, keep in mind that you can visit Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT after 2pm without a theme park reservation any day of the week. If you’d like to visit Magic Kingdom on the weekend, a theme park reservation is required, but you’re free to visit Magic Kingdom after 2pm on the weekdays without a Park Pass reservation.
Ultimately, Walt Disney World needs to drop the Park Pass reservation system entirely, but that’s unlikely to happen so long as Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro is in the top spot. D’Amaro was an early champion of the system, and while a number of COVID-era policies have been rolled back, Disney likes to have control over Passholders above and beyond the blockout dates already part of the Passholder program.
