A look around property from Mount Gushmore

We made it out to Blizzard Beach today to do some floating around the lazy river. Before we could get to that, we climbed up to the top of Mount Gushmore to take a peek around property from 90 feet in the air.

First up, let’s take a look at Animal Kingdom and Pandora – The World of Avatar. We can see the facade work on the right side of the picture, with the show building for Flight of Passage taking up the left half.

Quite possibly the best view of any attraction that you get from Mount Gushmore is the backside of Expedition Everest. Stretching the limits of zoom and cropping, and we can see the top of the track, where you find the broken track and prayer flags before dropping back into the mountain… backwards.

We can also find the Tree of Life. It’s the tallest and greenest tree in the entire vista.

Looking northwest, at Epcot, we can see Spaceship Earth with the Land Pavilion structure to the left and the Swan and Dolphin Hotel, Imagination Pavilion, and Orlando Eye stacked on the right side of the picture. The building directly in front of Spaceship Earth is the new Soarin’ theater.

Turning almost directly east, we find Hollywood Studios. An overview of the park shows the Rockin’ Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, and Earffel Tower.

Further to the right, we can find the top of the Chinese Theater.

Even further to the right we find the very tops of the Streets of America facades, MuppetVision 3D hot air balloon, and the Lights, Motors, Action stands.

After such a long hike up to the top of the mountain, we could finally descend and spend the rest of the afternoon making laps around the lazy river.

    Happy Monday!
