The Haunted Mansion is now closed for refurbishment at Magic Kingdom with a planned reopening on Thursday, August 10th. Disney World says that the closure is for “routine refurbishment” and not related to the ongoing work to bring the Hatbox Ghost to the Mansion. Work began on August 1st for the installation of the Hatbox Ghost, and Disney says that it will debut to guests “later this year”.
