New Temporary Walkway Closure at EPCOT, Spaceship Earth Bypass Remains Open for Now

As construction continues on CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza, guests should be advised of a new walkway closure. While visiting EPCOT this morning, we noticed that the walkway between the Imagination Pavilion and the World Celebration Gardens past CommuniCore Hall was closed. This is likely a temporary closure to support construction in the area.

First, here’s a look at the walkway that is closed today, followed by some photos from our visit to EPCOT earlier today.

Here’s a look at the closure from the World Celebration Gardens side of the walkway.

And here’s the closure on the Imagination Pavilion side of the walkway.

Another walkway that readers have been asking about is the Spaceship Earth bypass to The Seas Pavilion in World Nature. The Spaceship Earth bypass opened in late 2019 to support work taking place for the World Celebration Gardens and Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana. As of today, this walkway is open at EPCOT, but it’s possible that it might close soon. It was removed from the digital map last month when the World Celebration Gardens opened at EPCOT. It has been closed at rope drop since early December, but opens during the day. Here are our photos of the area from today.
