Water Park Swap Continues in Early November with Blizzard Beach Reopening at Walt Disney World

Starting November 4th, Blizzard Beach water park will be open and Typhoon Lagoon will be closed. This continues the COVID-era water park swap where Walt Disney World only operates one water park at a time. During the winter months, it makes more sense to only keep one water park open at a time due to lower demand, but we have nearly completed another summer with only one water park open at a time.

Disney World has not said why it will only operate one water park at a time, and it’s highly unlikely that each of the water parks needs something like 6 months of refurbishment at a time, so it’s likely an operational/revenue efficiency metric.
